Telugu Association of Perth Inc. (TAP) is dedicated to serving the cultural, social, and literary needs of the Telugu-speaking community in Western Australia, including those who have migrated from India and their children born and raised here. Our mission is to foster friendship and understanding between Telugu speakers and other regional communities while supporting humanitarian causes.

What is TAP?The acronym TAP stands for Telugu Association of Perth Inc. Many people in the Perth area are now familiar with TAP and its mission.
Mission Statement:TAP is a non-profit organization committed to preserving and promoting Telugu Samskriti (Culture), Sahithi (Literature), and Sampradayam (Traditions) among the Telugu-speaking community in the Perth area.
Background:Since its inception in 2011, TAP has evolved into an organization with a holistic approach, uniting Telugu-speaking individuals under one roof to address their cultural, social, and literary needs.
Our executive committee is elected annually and works collaboratively to achieve the organization’s goals.
Aims and Objectives:Cultural, Social, and Literary Needs: TAP caters to the cultural, social, and literary needs of Telugu-speaking individuals who have migrated from India and their children raised in WA.
Annual Festivals:We celebrate major Telugu festivals including Sankranthi, Vinayaka Chaviti, and Bhatukamma.
Community Engagement:We strongly encourage participation from members and interested individuals and families in the area.
Cultural Integration:Our aim is to bring together the Telugu community in Western Australia and integrate Telugu culture, literature, and traditions into modern life by publicizing cultural events.
Educational and Social Activities:We organize and promote literary, cultural, educational, and social activities for the Telugu community.
Charitable Efforts:We solicit, raise, and disburse funds for charitable, cultural, religious, and educational activities, either directly or in cooperation with other non-profit organizations. This includes raising funds for natural disasters.
Promoting Telugu Arts:We strive to enhance the understanding of Telugu literature, art, culture, music, dance, and drama among the children of Telugu-speaking families.
Having brought the two ancient parts of the Gondwana land together again, we started looking for a specific symbol that succinctly depicts what our Association is about. After several iterations and considerations.
